POSITION TITLE: Project Engineer I

POSITION DUTIES: Project Engineer I will fulfill business needs to expand efforts in research and development; conduct geotechnical engineering and analyses to support company projects and client needs; collect and interpret data related to site conditions and foundation performance; develop recommendations related to foundation design and construction; assist others conducting research and design for clients; field work including foundation and/or geotechnical construction observation and site characterization; prepare reports and papers documenting results of assigned work; assist with developing proposals for future work; attend meetings with collaborators and sponsors; and, prepare project reports, and write scholarly articles for publication and/or presentation in journals and/or conference proceedings. .

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must have Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or closely related field that includes significant written publication as part of the degree requirement, and 36 months employment experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, or a related occupation and valid U.S. Driver’s license. Experience must include demonstrated ability to apply complex geotechnical engineering principles; conducting field and laboratory tests for soil and rock; conducting field load tests for deep foundation elements and utilizing Matlab, APILE, LPILE, GRLWEAP, and SLIDE. 30-50% unanticipated travel to project related construction sites, both domestic and international.
